In the book “Kings and Priests”, David High writes about how God gives vision to the Priests
and provision to the Kings. The King’s “ministry” is to take their provision
and provide for the work of the Priests (the vision.)
Too often people look at those who are financially successful but are not directly involved in the ministry,
and wrongly wonder why they’re not “doing their part.” The fact is, they are doing their part! God has anointed
some to provide through the gifts and talents He’s given them. Their businesses succeed so they can help
fund the vision that God has given to the ministries He has birthed. We need to begin to recognize that
making regular donations to Kingdom work is ministry!
So why does God want offerings if we’re already faithfully tithing? Because offerings are opportunities to invest in His “company.” And the returns are greater and more secure than investing in Wall Street! You won’t need a bailout bill on this investment! Asking us to give offerings is God’s way of saying to us, “Have you crossed over to see the value of investing in the Kingdom? Come into partnership with me and help me build the Kingdom...one soul at a time.”
