LIFE-CHANGE
is what B.A.M. Inc.is all about. And we believe that true life-change can
only come through gospel-centered mentoring and leadership. Systems and processes
will continually be reviewed to determine if life-change is being produced. Any process that
does not bear life-giving fruit will be modified, replaced or removed.
SAFETY
is a top priority with the mentors being required to pass extensive background checks,
reference checks and recommendation requirements.
RELATIONSHIPS
are a priority because according to KidMo! LLC, a Christian organization committed to the proper training of children, “Children are longing for deeper, more authentic relationships as technology introduces a new form of isolation. They are asking, “Do you care about me because you have to, or because you want to?” More than ever kids are translating the message of Christianity through the lens of relationships. It is said, “Kids don’t care how much you know,
until they know how much you care.”
RELEVANCE
is important also as we are not looking to simply teach them a bunch of information, rules and regulations. Our goal is to teach biblical principles with life application. Therefore, bridging the gap between ancient biblical teachings and the twenty-first century is a must. This will include not only the fun, positive attributes of today’s culture, but we will also stress the difficulties of living in our world today and how to apply their faith to all aspects of the Christian life. These areas will include relationship management, financial management, stress management, education of basic
life-skills, as well as biblical character issues such as purity, integrity, honor, respect and humility.
FUN
is a priority because it is important they realize that living a Christian life is enjoyable,
satisfying, rewarding and not boring! Through the life application aspects of this ministry,
the student and their mentor will “do life together” which will include many fun activities,
events and experiences all custom-made for their particular life circumstances.
